Looking ahead

In the previous post we talk a bit about where we are right now in the development process. Well, now let’s look into the future and I’m going to give you a brief insight on the plan ahead. First of we will be launching a crowdfunding campaign early 2016 to raise funds for the project and at the same time generate a buzz. The amount we need to raise is not yet set but it will reflect on the cost for developing the full game, which we will need in order to lift the project from hobby level to a professional level. There will be more info on the crowdfunding once we officially announce the campaign.

Developing and creating a buzz

So up until then we will have two main focuses, developing the game and spreading the word of Airport CEO. We want to be able to show you guys a simple playable game by the time we start the campaign. This will increase the legitimacy of the project which will put us in a better position for reaching the funding goal. There are many many planned features which we will present in a list later in the process and we plan to work agile by starting small and scaling up. The first alpha will not be released until we feel it is really ready. There is no planned date for this, but a the better our crowdfunding campaign will go, the faster we will be able to release the first version.

First screenshot

I promised a screenshot and here it is. The first official in-game screenshot of our current testing environment. It is a night shot of our trusty Boeing 737s parked at the gates including taxiways and runways with lightning. The textures are not final. Enjoy!
